Hear from a faculty that includes attorneys who have argued and won high-profile U.S. Supreme Court cases and get their take on the Court’s latest pronouncements in employment law.
The Annual review of the latest developments in Supreme Court decisions (and prospects for congressional overrides), including Ledbetter regarding pay disparity claims, the attorney's fee decision in Sole, the FLSA home companion Coke case, the failure to rule on the "cat's paw" issue, the Congressional Accountability Act issues, the major False Claims Act decision in Rockwell, and the punitive damages in Phillip Morris, as well as a peek at the next term which will include an arbitration case involving whether parties can contractually expand the scope of judicial review, a "me too" evidence case, whether an EEOC questionnaire fulfills the charge filing requirements and a 401(k) case that addresses the scope of ERISA remedies.
The series Planning Chairs/Moderators also provide a summary of recent employment law developments in the final 30 minutes, including any regulatory developments and groundbreaking opinions. As an interactive seminar, the program affords the opportunity to submit questions for faculty discussion in advance of and during the event.
