Condemnation 101: Winning the High Ground with Fundamentals of Eminent Domain Valuation and Trial Practice
Why Attend?
Condemnation 101 provides an excellent introduction (or refresher) to basic concepts and techniques for preparing and presenting an eminent domain case. Offered in conjunction with ALI-ABA’s long-running annual advanced Course of Study, Eminent Domain and Land Valuation Litigation, the course is designed to provide the practitioner who is relatively new to this area of law a practical understanding of eminent domain legal principles and helpful insights on property valuation when preparing for mediation or trial. This year’s course, Condemnation 101: Winning the High Ground with Fundamentals of Eminent Domain Valuation and Trial Practice, focuses on the strategic advantages that can be gained by understanding the fundamentals of eminent domain valuation and trial practice for both condemnors and condemnees.
The course is taught by experienced eminent domain lawyers who present substantive and practical advice developed after years of preparing and trying both simple and complex eminent domain cases themselves.
This course runs concurrently with ALI-ABA's annual Course of Study, Eminent Domain and Land Valuation Litigation. This unique format allows practitioners who are new in the field of eminent domain to network with many of the nation's most experienced condemnation lawyers, and to benefit from many of those same lawyers serving as their faculty. Special Offer: Attend Eminent Domain and Land Valuation Litigation and bring an associate to Condemnation 101 for 50% off. ADD TO CART

Here's what registrants have said about this course:
This is a wonderful course and I learned more than I anticipated.
The courses were very practical, well thought-out, and well-presented. I was pleasantly surprised to realize that there is a national community of lawyers doing what I do, and it felt invigorating to connect to ‘my people.’ I was glad to see the presentations focusing the presenters’ experiences and thoughts into organized outlines…. I also thought the hospitality committee did a great job. The morning run was great, and the restaurants well selected and allowing for nice conversation with our fellow practitioners. This seminar was well done and I will be back for the Eminent Domain CLE. Thanks!
Condemnation 101 was a great overview of substantive and practical information for someone less than a year into practice in this area.
This course has been fantastic and I would highly recommend it to anyone practicing in this area. This is the first ALI-ABA course I have attended and I am extremely impressed with the whole level of professionalism and knowledge of the speakers. The course is well worth the expense. Thank you for the amount of time and effort that has been devoted to making this as great as it was.
A good job of introducing an overwhelming number of subject areas in a very compressed timeframe. The materials did a good job of actively introducing basics.
The speakers for this seminar were very well educated in condemnation law and had a lot of information to offer.
