Talent Management and the New Law Firm Business Model
Why Attend?
New law firm business models demand new strategies for managing legal talent.
Over the last 18 months, sweeping changes have come to the five pillars of lawyer talent management – recruitment, orientation, and integration; formal and informal training; evaluation and advancement; compensation; and individualized guidance and mentoring. What has driven these changes? How have law firms responded? With many time-honored systems altered or eliminated, what new tools can be created to develop and manage today’s legal talent?
As law firms adapt to a new environment, professional development can be a credible and effective agent for change, especially in leading the process and evolution of a forward-looking talent development strategy. Led by Susan G. Manch and Terri Mottershead, two nationally-recognized experts in legal talent management, this insightful webinar will explore:
Mega-trends: The drivers of change; emerging law firm business models
Recruiting, integration, and orientation: New approaches in a changed environment
Formal and informal training: What’s out, what’s in, and what’s next
Evaluation and advancement: Competencies, benchmarks, and advancement; developing the talent pipeline
Compensation: “Merit” is the word of the year, but one size does not fit all
Mentoring: Down, but not out; positive trends
Professional development: Opportunities to build consensus for change
And more
