Fair Labor Standards Act: Coverage Issues
Why Attend?
Does your client have one of the one million FLSA violations that occur each week?
A recently-released report suggests that over a million workers across the nation have at least one pay-based violation in any given week. In fact, wage and hour violations are the most common source of employment litigation today. Employers and plaintiffs attorneys need to know what issues are being litigated in the wage and hour field, and what defenses can be raised in opposition to these cases.
ALI-ABA is conducting a series of audio seminars throughout 2010 focusing on wage and hour issues. The first seminar will concentrate on coverage under the Fair Labor Standards Act. The second and third seminars are scheduled for April and June and will cover exemptions and compensable work time, respectively. Taught by a panel of labor law experts, each program will include, at the end, a five to fifteen minute discussion of recent FLSA developments and an up-to-the-minute update on this area of labor law.
